Spicy Jokes - Brave Soul
Spicy Jokes - Brave Soul:
"Brave Soul
A guy arrives at the pearly gates, waiting to be admitted. St. Peter is reading through the Big Book to see if the guy's name is written in it. After several minutes, St. Peter closes the book, furrows his brow, and says, 'I'm sorry, I don't see your name written in the Book.'
'How current is your copy?' he asks.
'I get a download every ten minutes,' St. Peter replies, 'why do you ask?'
'I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I was always the stubborn type. It was not until my death was immanent that I cried out to God, so my name probably hasn't arrived to your copy yet.'
'I'm glad to hear that,' St. Peter says, 'but while we're waiting for the update to come through, can tell me about a really good deed that you did in your life?'
The guys thinks for a moment and says, 'Humm, well there was this one time when I was drivin' down a road and I saw a giant group of biker gang members harassing this poor girl. I slowed down, and sure enough, there they were, about 20 of 'em torturing this poor woman. Infuriated, I got out my car, grabbed a tire iron out of my trunk, and walked up to the leader of the gang. He was a huge guy; 6-foot-6, 280 pounds, with a studded leather jacket and a chain running from his nose to his ears. As I walked up to the leader, the bikers formed a circle around me and told me to get lost or I'd be next.
'So I ripped the leader's chain out of his face and smashed him over the head with the tire iron. Then I turned around and yelled to the rest of them, 'Leave this poor innocent girl alone! You're all a bunch of SICK, deranged animals! Go home before I really teach you a lesson in PAIN!'
St. Peter, duly impressed, says 'Wow! When did this happen?'
'About three minutes ago.' "

Yep, time to stress-test this, see how many pics I can fit up.
This here's Alyssa, from the classic NES game "The Guardian Legend".
Don't know who this is, but I do know I don't want to cross her. O_o
KAWAII!!!!!!
My current state of mind with my work PC.
Nope, seems not to be working liek I'd like to... how can I make it so the next block of text continues after the image?

Hmm, testing Pic Upload
Hmm... seems I can upload pics to Blogger now... Interesting... I'm gonna have SO MUCH FUN with this option....
By the way, that one looking all yummy there next to me is Fathom, from the comic book by the same name. A Water-aspected Dragon-Blooded if I ever saw one. ^_^
Yes, that's all water. ^_^
Also, it seems Blogger takes the full-size pic up, yet resizes it to fit on the post. But if you click it, you still get the full-size image, for your viewing pleasure!!

Darkness
Amazing the darkness that can seep into one's soul in a moment of weakness.
A string of coincidences leads me to a moment of utter despair, where the darkest recesses of my mind can easily bully my concious mind, forcing me to believe in things that I know are not true, forcing me to face things that are not true.
For those crucial minutes, they are true, in my head.
I shiver, trembling in my workplace. A part of my body's trembling is the cold, but with 2 shirts, one of them long-sleeved, and a jacket on top of it all, everyone still stares at me when they see me trembling. That's because the shivering comes from the cold in my heart.
My heart simply freezes over when confronted with the tricks my fear plays on me. Shutting out all warmth. Closing to all. Suddenly everything looks so calculated and clinical. Greetings from coworkers turn to poisonous hipocrisy in my eyes. Even the person who granted me the cigarrette and lighter I use to try and escape looks like another person laughing behind my back.
I am afraid.
Moments and a few calls later, everything turns out to be a misunderstanding, but the fear remains. Not the original tricks, but now that those have been utterly dispelled, new tricks created to slip in the cracks. What if it was a lie? What if she was somewhere else? What if THIS is the truth?
I know these tricks for what they are, yet that is probably what I fear the most. That even when I know them, they still find their way in.
I am weak.
From a logical standpoint, something all too easy to see now that my heart is frozen, all of them are plausible arguments against everything I hold dear. What if they ARE lies? Yet only the warmth that is gone from me can bring me back to my original viewpoint, to my original place in the scheme of things, or, more like to where I thought I was, or where I think I stand, in the scheme of things.
Ever so slowly, and only for a few minutes, almost an hour, I die inside.
I know I will probably not remember this for long. This episode will fade to the recesses of my memory, like all other things do. One of the blessings of a really lousy memory, I guess. But I know, that my future ignorance to this event will only last so long as to my next moment of weakness. When my fears will use this episode as further proof that they are right, and I am wrong. That I am wrong to trust in others and their words, such as they are easily falsified. Feelings? Just the things I want to see in others, nothing more.
Or so they say.
I sit here at work, in my desk, seemingly shuddering from the cold. If someone could visually see how I feel though, they'd see a 5-year old, crumpled into a ball, with all his darkest fears mocking him and teasing him from just outside the dim light that is his hope for his future.

Neural Networks vs. Computer-Networked Environments
Neural Networks vs. Computer-Networked Environments:
"In 1960, psychologist Stanley Milgram had discovered the paradigm of ‘6 degrees of separation’ – the fact that all the people on this planet seem to be linked by an average of six connections. In his original experiment, Milgram had sent letters to a random selection of people in Nebraska and Kansas and asked each of them to forward the letter to one of Milgram’s friends, a stockbroker in Boston whose address he didn’t give them. The people in Nebraska and Kansas were asked to only send the letter to someone who they thought might be socially closer to the stockbroker. The experiment has now been recreated various times (always with the same results) – for example by the German newspaper Die Zeit, which tried to connect a Kebab-shop owner in Frankfurt to his favorite actor, Marlon Brando."
An interesting read.

American George Weller was the first foreign reporter to enter Nagasaki following the U.S. atomic attack on the city on Aug. 9, 1945. Weller wrote a series of stories about what he saw in the city, but censors at the Occupation's General Headquarters refused to allow the material to be printed. Here's his original account, written September 8, 1945.

Scientology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Scientology - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"have characterized the Church of Scientology as an unscrupulous commercial organization; it has often been described not as a religion, but a man-made cult that harrasses its critics and exploits its members. Many of the Church's most controversial actions are, critics argue, a direct reflection of Hubbard's Scientology teachings."
But can't the same be said of all religions?
This reminds me of some popular lines that I will never forget, from the much-acclaimed game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Richter: Die monster! You don't belong in this world!
Dracula: It was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh. I was called here by humans who wish to pay me tribute.
Richter: Tribute? You steal men's souls and make them your slaves!
Dracula: Perhaps the same can be said of all religions.
Richter: Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you?
Dracula: What is a man? A miserable little pile of secrets? But enough talk, have at you!

Lyrics - Youhna - Houki Boshi
Kanji

Translation
Alone, I looked towards the sky and saw a comet,
Although the burst suddenly vanished in a moment.
My heart becomes hurt with thoughts of you,
Right now I want to be with you, but I can't leap the skies so...
Maybe if I could become a comet,
I could leap through the skies to you.
Whatever kind of tomorrow comes, since a comet is always unbreakable,
This feeling is strong.
I don't like it when it rains. When it was dimmed out,
I remember what you said, even now.
"In the night sky, after the rain, beautifully, the stars appear."
Considering that, I've come to like the rain too...
Maybe if I could become a comet,
The overflowing light will fall,
So whenever times are sad, the you who looks to the night sky
Will come to smile and, like the comet, want to shine more.
What are you always fighting with on your own?
Being by your side is something I can't do but...
Maybe if I could become a comet,
I could leap through the skies to you.
Surely, without fail I'd reach you in this moment of light
And your now illuminated sky will revolve.
If I could become a comet,
Surely, I would rise by your side,
Whenever the time.

Here's my try at forced writing
They had been put on standby, to observe for any new happenings at the old chapel. Most of the squad was there, with the added, though unknown, supervision of Alistair. Only a handful of people know where Alistair is at any given moment, and, considering the importance of a person with his knowledge and position to the Ordo Dracul, he takes considerable risks in not being where these few people think he is. But then again, he pretty much got to where he is by precisely the same emotion that puts him where he is now.
Curiosity.
The "squad", as Alistair likes to call them, since their organization and high-tech toys makes them look like an elite top secret squad of some high-ranking secret organization, is pretty much the latest invention of the Ordo Dracul. This group, the Five, was created to "see without being seen", to observe for some strange metaphysical phenomena that have been ocurring in isolated locations in the city and surrounding geography.
Now, the squad in and of itself, although having for members some of Alistair's closest friends, is not in and of itself the reason that Alistair is here. Since Alistair has known, the wielders of supernatural power are the Kindred, and to some degree still not well understood, a group of creatures that, for lack of a better term, we have to call "werewolves". He was, in a way, duped into being a vampire precisely because of this, for the power that he would then wield. But ever since he learned the true repercussions of what he has become, he has looked for a way out of it, something all others consider impossible. For this he has earned a lot of enemies, but in this purpose he has also gathered a substantial amount of knowledge regarding such subjects as Kindred lore, knowledge of supernatural phenomena at large, and or some of the happenings in the past of humanity that don't quite mesh with what you see in history books.

Slashdot | Rail Guns Closer to Reality
Yahoo News is reporting that scientists at Sandia National Labs have created a magnetic pulse gun (rail gun) that can accelerate small aluminum plates at 34 kilometers per second, faster than the Earth travels through space. The accelerated plates strike a target after traveling only five millimeters, or less than a quarter-inch. The impact generates a shock wave -- in some cases, reaching 15 million times atmospheric pressure -- that passes through the target material turning matter into various states almost instantly (solids into liquids, liquids into gas, and even gas into plasma).
Yikes!

消せない過去も背負いあっていこう 生きることを投げ出さないで

Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed
Shoulder the burden of the past that cannot be erased; don't throw away your will to live
Your hand that I held...
Will we lose it someday?
I want to protect you and that disappearing smile
The ringing voice that calls me dries out
Even if it gets erased by the wind along time
I will find you
Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed
Don't say words like you can't smile or you hate people
Everything that happens in the unseen future has a meaning
So stay like this, there'll come a time when you will realize
Like a rusted person
It felt so hollow to just pile atop one another
You said you could live on your own
Just with the usual kind words
You ache to a point where I cannot reach you
Your hand that I held searched for some simple kindness
Do you remember
By learning pain, you can become a person who can be kind to others
Drive your Life
Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed
Don't say words like you can't smile or you hate people
Everything that happens in the unseen future has a meaning
So stay like this, there'll come a time when you will realize
How can I see the meaning of life
Disappearing, you're the only. . .
So you will not break, you distance yourself from me
Don't say words like you can't smile or you hate people
Now it's by and by, even if you cannot see, there's a meaning to everything
Shoulder the burden of the past that cannot be erased; don't throw away your will to live
You'd better forget everything. Remember. . . your different Life?
You'd better forget everything. Remember. . . though, we cannot return
Like in times of warped memories, we can understand someday
