Nonlethal Gun Makes You Wish You Were Shot with BFG - Gizmodo
Nonlethal Gun Makes You Wish You Were Shot with BFG - Gizmodo
"The ADS shoots a beam of high intensity millimeter waves, which in
plain English means if you get in the beam's way, it'll feel like
you're being dipped in lava. In fact, the pain is so intense, that the
longest any human test subject could withstand the beam was 5 seconds,
and a very small number of them walked away with redness and blisters
from the beam's intense heat."

Wii JPN Launch: Last Minute Info
Tomorrow, 400,000 Wiis hit The Land of the Rising Sun. Gizmodo Japan reports that compared to the PS3, there have been more Wii pre-orders. And thus, more people unable to get pre-orders. So it's a numbers game again, really.
For our Japan-based readers, here's the retailer run-down:
Bic Camera: Sales start first come, first served tomorrow morning at 7:00am. As previously mentioned, those with Suica cards can pre-reserve. Otherwise, head to the Ikebukuro headquarters (ahem, Jean Snow!) or Yurakucho.
Yodobashi Camera: Sales also first come, first served with stores opening at 7:00am at the Shinjuku, Akihabara and Umeda branches. I'll be at the Umeda branch. Wearing a Paul Smith scarf (Yeah, I know. My excuse: It was a present.)
Shibuya TSUTAYA: Pre-reserves only. Orders filled in two hours.
Sofmap (Den-Den Town): Likewise, pre-reserves. They apparently went quick.
Sakuraya: Tickets will be passed out from 7:30 am tomorrow morning with sales starting at 8:00 am.
Good luck all! Brian Ashcraft

Beautiful song. Just beautiful.

Is it just me, or is he incredibly gay at a few parts in the video, mainly at the beginning, when he's presenting Mari?

Hermeticism
Hermeticism is a set of philosophical and religious beliefs[1] based primarily upon the writings attributed to Hermes Trismegistus. These beliefs have had the impact of effecting magic traditions and further, the impact of serving as a set of religious beliefs. Whatever the impact of the beliefs, they stem from teachings and books accredited to Hermes Trismegistus, who is put forth as a wise sage and Egyptian priest, commonly seen as synonymous with the Egyptian god Thoth.[citation needed]

Wicca
Wicca is a Neopagan religion and a religious movement found in many different countries. It was first publicised in 1954 by a British civil servant named Gerald Gardner[1] after the British Witchcraft Act was repealed. He claimed that the religion, of which he was an initiate, was a modern survival of an old witch cult, which had existed in secret for hundreds of years, originating in the pre-Christian Paganism of Europe. Wicca is thus sometimes referred to as the Old Religion. The veracity of Gardner's claims cannot be independently proven, and it is thought that Wiccan theology began to be compiled no earlier than the 1920s. Various related Wiccan traditions have since evolved, or been adapted from, the form established by Gardner, which came to be called Gardnerian Wicca. These other traditions of Wicca each have distinctive beliefs, rituals, and practices. Many traditions of Wicca remain secretive and require that members be initiated. There is also a movement of Eclectic or Solitary Wiccans who do not believe that any doctrine or traditional initiation is necessary in order to practice Wicca.

Haiku
Haiku (俳句, ?) is a mode of Japanese poetry, the late 19th century revision by Masaoka Shiki of the older hokku (発句, hokku?), the opening verse of a linked verse form, haikai no renga. The traditional hokku consisted of a pattern of approximately 5, 7, and 5 morae, phonetic units which only partially correspond to the syllables of languages such as English. It also contains a special season word (the kigo) representative of the season in which the renga is set, or a reference to the natural world.

Pandora Internet Radio
Ever since we started the Music Genome Project, our friends would ask:
Can you help me discover more music that I'll like?
Those questions often evolved into great conversations. Each friend told us their favorite artists and songs, explored the music we suggested, gave us feedback, and we in turn made new suggestions. Everybody started joking that we were now their personal DJs.
We created Pandora so that we can have that same kind of conversation with you.

Utter Perversion
I cannot verbalize how I feel right now. I certainly feel anger, yet i can't simplify it into that, for it's much more complex than that. I could call it jealousy, but it's not quite that, since I know my love doesn't care for him.
I just want to hit him. I want to punch his face so hard his nose caves in. And then tell him that if he ever dares to touch my girlfriend again, it will be much worse. The problems with this course of action are twofold. First, that my girlfriend asked me for time to deal with it herself. The second?
I don't think that would be decisive enough.
I want to do worse.

Changes, updates, and on moving to Blogger 2.0
Well, as you can see, i've done some changes around here. The biggest is the change to Blogger 2.0, which, although not very visible on your end, makes things quite a bit easier on mine. I can change elements and the page template is better modularized. All in all, i think it looks prettier. Don't you?
Also, my new baby at the moment, is the new Radio.Blog.Club radio on the Sidebar. From there you can see music that I like, or am listening to a lot at the moment. If I set the lyrics to a song on the blog, You can probably find the song there.
Finally, with a bit of pain and experimentation, i found a way to detach it from the site, so you can continue listening to it while you browse to ther pages. You can try that by clicking
here.
Ash out.

Rise Against - The First Drop
"The First Drop"
I’m calling out
Only echoes respond
But I scream ‘til my voice is gone
Crouching in corners and hiding your face
I’m sick and tired of playing your games
I’m not alone
I stand amongst the voiceless
Millions in the unforgiving sun
Here arm-in-arm
We parade these streets
And sing our songs (and sing our songs)
We’ve had enough
Is there even anything left to explain? (We’ve had enough)
Am I really someone you need to restrain? (We’ve had enough)
Can’t you listen to what we have to say? (We’ve had enough)
Unknowing, we lie and wait for the rain
To wash away what they have made
Face down in the dirt with your foot on my back
In the distance I hear thunder crack
C'mon Stand up !
This system of power and privilege is about to come to an end
Here come the clouds
The first drop is falling down (falling down)
We’ve had enough
Is there even anything left to explain? (We’ve had enough)
Am I really someone you need to restrain? (We’ve had enough)
Can’t you listen to what we have to say? (We’ve had enough)
Our futures burn in red horizons
Ashes scattered in winds of change
Casualty numbers are rising
Now it’s time to raise the stakes
We’re meant for something more than living just to put food on our plates
I can’t help but wonder--why should we participate?
We’ve had enough
Is there even anything left to explain? (We’ve had enough)
Am I really someone you need to restrain? (We’ve had enough)
Can’t you listen to what we have to say? (We’ve had enough)

Rise Against - Swing Life Away
"Swing Life Away"
Am I loud and clear, or am I breaking up?
Am I still your charm, or am I just bad luck?
Are we getting closer, or are we just getting more lost?
I'll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand
I've been here so long, I think that it's time to move
The winter's so cold, summer's over too soon
Let's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow
I've got some friends, some that I hardly know
But we've had some times, I wouldn't trade for the world
We chase these days down with talks of the places that we will go
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand....until you hold my hand
I'll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand
Swing life away [x4]

Rise Against - Survive
"Survive"
Somewhere between happy, and total fucking wreck
Feet sometimes on solid ground, sometimes at the edge
To spend your waking moments, simply killing time
Is to give up on your hopes and dreams, to give up on your...
Life for you, has been less than kind
So take a number, stand in line
We've all been sorry, we've all been hurt
But how we survive, is what makes us who we are
An obvious disinterest, a barely managed smile
A deep nod in agreement, a status quo exile
I shirk my obligations, I miss all your deadlines
I excel at quitting early, and fucking up my life
Life for you, has been less than kind
So take a number, stand in line
We've all been sorry, we've all been hurt
But how we survive, is what makes us who we are
All smiles and sunshine, a perfect world on a perfect day
Everything always works out, I have never felt so fucking great
All smiles and sunshine, a perfect world on a perfect day
Everything always works out, I have never felt so great
